A matching gift wallet for Dad

September 19, 2012

My Dad has pretty much all he wants at this point in his life Laughing and so prefers to have a gift certificate that he can spend as he chooses. The Amazon certificate he wanted, can be printed out as a gift card but I still wanted to make it a little more special in the presentation, so I created a gift wallet for it.

And designed it to match the birthday card I shared yesterday Smile

The A4 Basic Gray card for the wallet was folded into three, with the folded size just slightly larger than the printed gift card and with just a small slice cut from the front folded edge. A slot for the card was created by repeat punching with the Word Window punch (119857) on the inner fold before adhering it around the edges, to the back of the wallet. A panel of Lucky Limeade card was matted with Twitterpated DSP and added to the wallet front. Teeny Tiny Wishes (W115370) was used to stamp the sentiment in Basic Gray ink onto Whisper White card before punching out with the Word Window punch and matting onto a Modern Label (119849) punched from Basic Gray card. This sentiment was popped up on dimensionals on the wallet front. The Scallop Edge Border (119882) was used to punch a strip of Lucky Limeade card and edge the wallet before finishing with a velcro spot fastener. Here’s the inside:

I love being able to make matching items for gifting, I think it looks really professional, don’t you?

Sara xx
