Our cute clips aren’t just cute. With a little tweak of the background and some rustic trim, they can become MANLY clips for a manly card, lol.
When I first saw the Parker’s Patterns DSP I was really taken with the “white noise” style pattern and as with most things SU! they fit together perfectly – which was just what I needed for the background of this card.
The card base is an A6 portrait of Not Quite Navy. A mat of Crumb Cake card was further matted with three of the papers from Parkers Patterns DSP (131021). Natural Trim Ribbon (129287) and Linen Thread (104199) were wrapped or tied around the lower segments of DSP and adhered on the reverse. The sentiment from Bring on the Cake (W121899 or C121958) was stamped onto Very Vanilla card with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Cherry Cobbler EP (122949). After colouring on the birthday part of the sentiment with a Crumb Cake marker (120967) and highlighting the happy part with an arrow clip from the Hung Up Clips (129389), it was popped up on dimensionals onto a mat of Not Quite Navy card and then popped up again onto the card front. The best wishes sentiment from Wishes Your Way (W129153 or C129156) was stamped as separate words onto Very Vanilla card using the Crumb Cake marker, direct to stamp and then punched out with the Jewelry Tag (117190). These were fastened to the card front with a safety pin from Vintage Trinkets (118764).
On the inside, another sentiment from Bring on the Cake was stamped onto the Very Vanilla insert with Not Quite Navy ink and a few strips of the same DSP as before, were added near the bottom.
Not Quite Navy is another of the colours that will soon be discontinued, so if I can help with any order to stock up before it’s gone, then please email me.
