For today’s card I’ve only used a single stamp set but I have gone a little mad with the other “extras” – dies, punches, embellishments. That’s because today is one of our Paper Dolls birthdays and I like to make their cards a little more involved.
The card base is an A6 portrait of Pool Party. A mat of So Saffron card was run through the Honeycomb embossing folder (129378) and adhered to the front of the card. Two of the cocktail glasses from the Happy Hour set (W126640 or C126642) were stamped in Calypso Coral ink onto Very Vanilla card. An umbrella was stamped over one glass using Pool Party ink and a lemon slice over the other using So Saffron ink. The smaller glass was punched out with the 1-1/4″ Circle (119861) and the larger with the 1-3/4″ Circle (119850). After covering the glasses with Crystal Effects (101055) to give them shine, they were left to dry. The smallest Delicate Doily (126999) and the Scallop Trim medallion from Perfect Pennants (123126) were die cut from Calypso Coral card. Dimensionals were used to pop the images up on the die cuts and then onto the card front. After stamping the sentiment from the same set onto Very Vanilla card it was cut into a banner and matted onto Calypso Coral trimmed in the same way. A 1″ Circle (119868) of the same card was added to the end of the banner and a Designer Builder Brad (129329) secured through it before popping up on dimensionals on the card front. Finally a stuffed olive was coloured direct to stamp, stamped onto Very Vanilla card, punched out with the Itty Bitty circle (118309), adhered to the brad and topped with the brad bubble.
The Very Vanilla insert was stamped with another birthday sentiment and another glass from the same set using Calypso Coral ink and the straw with Pool Party ink.
Hope you’ve had a fantastic day Cheryl
