I’ve been working with my Shaker Frames, preparing the June Template & Technique class and found that I was ending up with the smallest shaker frames left over. So I had a little look to see what they might fit and they’re just perfect for these little baby’s rattle shaker cards.
The card base is a small square of Pretty in Pink/Pool Party, matted with Regal Rose/Island Indigo. A small square of Whisper White card was stamped with the baby’s rattle from the Button Buddies set (W122735 or C122737) in Regal Rose/Island Indigo ink and the bottom half was run through the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder (117335). Pretty in Pink Scallop Dots Ribbon (124141)/Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon (122975) was adhered around the centre of the mat and then another small piece tied on. After punching the centre of the rattle out with the 1/2″ Circle (119869), it was backed with a small piece of Window Sheet (114323). The rattle was stamped again with the original colour ink onto a scrap of Whisper White and the smallest aperture Shaker Frame (124155) was adhered over the top of the rattle. A few small clear beads were added to the centre for the shaker effect and then the prepared mat was lined up over and adhered in place. The very inners of the Shaker Frames were used to pop the rest of the mat up on the front of the card (or if you run out of the inners then two dimensionals, stacked, work just as well). Finally the sentiment from Itty Bitty Banners (W126255 or C126257) was stamped onto Whisper White card using Regal Rose/Island Indigo ink, die cut out with a Bitty Banners framelit (129267) and popped up on the card front with slivers of dimensionals.
For the inside, another sentiment from the same Itty Bitty Banners set was stamped onto the Whisper White insert using Regal Rose/Island Indigo ink.
