My Friday feature last week, showing how to use our all occasion stamp sets for Christmas cards, used the For the Birds.
And again, this stamp set isn’t just for Christmas, it has images and sentiments that you can use year round.
Here, I’ve used it to create a bright thank you card. I struggled a little with my design at first, because I knew I wanted to use the Apothecary Accent label but it looked lost on an A6 or 5″ x 5″ card. Then I realised that a note card cut to fit our new Crumb Cake Note Card Envelopes (131528 – £4.95 for 40), would be the perfect size – don’t you love it when a plan comes together!
The card base is a 4-3/4″ x 3-1/5″ of Daffodil Delight. A Whisper White mat was wrapped with all three of the Gingham Garden Washi Tapes (129314) and adhered direct to the card front. Apothecary Accent framelit (127003) labels were die cut from Whisper White and Melon Mambo card and the White one trimmed down a little so that it would mat on the other. Black Stazon ink was used to stamp the For the Birds (W132001 or 126407) thank you onto the cut down White label and then it was coloured with markers and a Blender Pen (102845). After matting onto the Melon Mambo label, they were popped up on dimensionals on the card front. A couple of Itty Bitty (118309) flowers were punched from Daffodil Delight card, shaped and added with Mini Glue Dots above and below the main image. Finally Basic Rhinestones (119246) were added to the flower centres.
As it’s Thursday already (where does the week go?) I’ll be back tomorrow with another all occasion set Christmas card.
Sara xx
