It’s going to be a Bootiful Christmas

It’s Friday and so I’m back with another Christmas idea Smile

This time our Christmas card  uses the all occasion Bootiful Occasions stamp set. Now I had originally planned a more simple card that could be made in bulk … but this stamp set just cries out for colouring in. And then again I wanted the boots to really pop … and I opted for paper piecing so that they remain nice and crisp.

So in the end it was all a little more involved than first planned but I think it’s ideal for sending to a girlie friend, especially one who likes her shoes Smile and I figured it was worth that little bit extra effort. What do you think?

The card base is Naturals Ivory (a bit thicker and more rigid than Very Vanilla which is designed more for stamping on). Deco Labels Collection framelits (130102) were used to die cut Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake card and the Christmas Boot from the Bootiful Occasions set (W131967 or C126597) was stamped in Black Stazon, masked and stamped again on the Crumb Cake label. More Boots were stamped onto Real Red and Whisper White card, fussy cut out and paper pieced over the stamped images. Victoria Crochet Trim (18481) was wrapped around a mat of Crumb Cake and an Antique Brad (117273) was used to secure a bow of Real Red Taffeta Ribbon (119251) over the top. This was then adhered direct to the card front. The labels were adhered together and popped up on dimensionals below the ribbons. Finally the matching sentiment from the set was stamped onto Very Vanilla card with Black Stazon ink, punched out with the Curly Label (119851) and popped up with more dimensionals.

On the inside the sentiment from Sassy Salutations (W132070 or C126707) was simply stamped direct using Real Red ink.

Please email me if you’d like to order supplies.

As usual, I’ll be back some time within the next week with a non-Christmas card using the same stamp set.

Have a great weekend.
