On to day 6 of our countdown to Sale-a-bration (starts 28 January). Sale-a-bration is our annual Stampin’ Up! party, with loads of free products. This year we’ll have THIRTEEN! different products to choose from and you’ll be able to get one free for every £45 you spend (with no limits to how many you can collect – spend £90, get 2 freebies etc). I’m showcasing a different SAB freebie every day in my countdown.
Today’s sneak peek was created by my hubby in MDS, using the One Big Sale-a-bration freebie. He’d seen how I changed the sentiment on my recent team swap card and figured he could do similar to make a tongue in cheek birthday card for his Mum.
The One Big Sale-a-bration MDS Digital Ensemble collects together into a digital package, all of the traditional stamps, DSP, accessories, punch and embossing folder that are available as Sale-a-bration products – wow what a lot you get!
The card base is an A6 landscape of Calypso Coral matted with Pool Party. Hubby changed the sentiment and then individually coloured the birthday card and some of the text digitally, before printing it out onto Very Vanilla card. The actual sentiment usually reads “you don’t look any older than you did last year”, but he changed it, as a joke. Candy dots were placed in the corners of the mat.
After he’d finished the card front I asked my hubby what he thought of MDS as it was his first play with it. His answer was “I like it. I’ll never stamp again!”
I’m so glad that he didn’t really mean the last bit.
Why not test drive the FREE 30 day trial of MDS right now and then if you like it, you can buy the basic package at its regular price of £13.95 during Sale-a-bration, so that it counts towards your SAB freebie(s).
Luckily, hubby is still stamping and he stamped the inside of the card with a traditional stamp from Giggle Greetings (Wood 131062 or Clear 131065) in Calypso Coral ink.
Pleased to say that his Mum loved the card and especially that he’d taken there time to make it for her.
I’ll be back again tomorrow with another sneak peek and another guest designer.
Sara xx
