Today I’m using the See Ya Later stamp set. At first I wasn’t sure that I’d use the “alligator” stamp. I mentioned it to hubby though and he said that it would work well for a leaving card … and I figured he was right (shh, don’t tell him ).
Most of the cards I’ve seen with this stamp have been darker, masculine ones and I wanted to lighten it up a bit so I picked ice cream colours and added a little ruffle.
The card base is an A6 landscape of Strawberry Slush, matted with Pistachio Pudding. After stamping the lanterns from Happy Congratulations (Wood 133044 or Clear 133047) onto a panel of Whisper White card with Basic Gray ink the circles were added with a combination of Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding, placed with the help of the Stamp-a-ma-jig (101049). (Tip – where the ink pads were extra juicy eg. Strawberry Slush, I stamped off first to get a lightly lighter pink). The sentiment from the same Happy Congratulations was stamped in Basic Gray in the top left corner. This panel was edged with Strawberry Slush Ruffle Stretch Trim (130023), matted onto a panel of Coastal Cabana card which had been punched with the Scallop Edge Border (119882) and then popped up on dimensional on the card front. The alligator sentiment from See Ya Later (Sale-a-bration set FREE with purchase in Wood 133533 or Clear 133536) was stamped onto Whisper White card, once with Pistachio Pudding and once with Strawberry Slush. “Already miss you” was cut out of the second and adhered over the first, for greater emphasis. These were punched out with the Decorative Label (120907), matted onto Decorative Labels punched from Pistachio Pudding (and snipped) and then popped up on more dimensionals on the card front.
On the inside, more lanterns were stamped and the other sentiment from Happy Congratulations was added.
Thanks for stopping by.
