Spiral flower die gift tag

spiral tag die close up

I’m loving the new Spiral Flower die but … the flowers are so 3d that they can’t easily be popped in a standard envelope and put in the post.

I’ll be making boxes for any cards that I add these flowers to, but in the meantime I decided to make a tag that can be tied onto a gift.

spiral die tag

The Scalloped Tag Topper punch (133324) was used to punch a tag from Pistachio Pudding and a mat die cut from Crisp Cantaloupe card with the Heaxagon Hive thinlit (132965) was cut to size and adhered over the top. After stamping the sentiment from Itty Bitty Banners (Wood 132022 or Clear 126257) in Melon Mambo ink onto Whisper White card it was die cut using the matching Bitty Banners framelit (129267). This was popped up onto a banner hand cut from Pistachio Pudding card and then at an angle onto the tag front. The Spiral Flower die (129379) was used to cut a flower from Melon Mambo card. After curling the petals over a bone folder, the flower was rolled and adhered in place, finishing with a Basic Pearl (119247) in the centre, before popping up on the front of the tag. Melon Mambo Taffeta Ribbon (131207) was fastened through the tag(s).

As the tag is so 3d, it would therefore be difficult to write on the reverse and so a second tag was punched from Whisper White card and stamped with the To/From sentiment from Tag It (Wood 130300 or Clear 130303) in Melon Mambo ink. This tag can then be pulled to one side to write the message.
