It’s that time of year and I’ve got another Paper Dolls birthday to celebrate today. Happy Birthday Hazel – hope you had a great day!
This is the card that I made for her, it’s a box card – it opens up to create a box
The box card base is folded with Watercolor Wonder DSP (132994). Basic Gray card, matted with a strip of more Watercolor Wonder DSP, was used to make the belly band. A background for the sentiment was created using the Smackin’ Acetate technique (one we recently covered in our technique class) and Gumball Green, Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango inks. The Petite Pairs sentiment (Wood 128706 or Clear 122497) was stamped over the top using Gumball Green ink before die cutting out with one of the Squares Collection framelits (130921). Two squares of the next size up, were die cut from Basic Gray card, used to mat and frame the sentiment and then adhered to the belly band. Little daffodils were created to surround the sentiment by stamping one of the Petite Petals** flowers (Wood 133152 or Clear 133155) with Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango inks using the rock ‘n’ roll technique and then punching with the matching Petite Petals punch** (133322). Four-petalled Itty Bitty flowers (118309) were punched from Daffodil Delight card and each of the petals folded to the centre before adhering in the centre of each flower.
** Buy the Petite Petals stamp set and matching punch together as a bundle and save 15% – Wood Bundle 134821 or Clear Bundle 134822
On the Whisper White insert, lining the card box, more of the flowers were stamped, along with the sentiment from Sassy Salutations (Wood 132070 or Clear 126707) in Tangerine Tango ink.
Back with another Paper Dolls birthday card tomorrow!
