Postage Collection birthday

postage collection close up

I’d loaned the Postage Collection set to one of my downline and as she returned it to me this weekend (thank you 🙂 ), it was the natural choice for today’s card.

This set is one of the hostess exclusive sets and as such will be retiring at the end of June. I love how this set works with the Postage Stamp punch, the card almost ends up looking like a stamp album.

The card base is a 5″ square of Early Espresso, scored 1/8″ in on all four sides as decoration. A mat of 4-1/2″ square Crumb Cake was scored at 1-1/2″ and 3″ on two sides, to form a grid, before adhering direct to the card front. Four fancy frames from the Postage Collection set (Wood 129237 or Clear 129240) were stamped in Early Espresso ink onto Very Vanilla card, the bee from the same set was stamped in the centre of each with Baked Brown Sugar ink before punching out with the Postage Stamp punch (122344) and popping up in the corners of the grid with dimensionals. Four square frames from the Postage Collection set were stamped in Baked Brown Sugar ink onto Very Vanilla card, the umbrella from the same set was stamped in the centre of each with Early Espresso ink before punching out again with the Postage Stamp punch and popping up with dimensionals in between the first set. After stamping the wreath from the same set in Early Espresso ink onto Very Vanilla card, the sentiment was stamped in the centre with Baked Brown Sugar ink and then the images punched out with the 1-1/4 Circle (119861). This was matted onto a 1-3/8″ Circle (119860) punched from Early Espresso card and then popped up in the centre of the card with dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by.
