I can’t take credit for the idea behind today’s card – it’s one that I’ve seen several variations of on Pinterest,  but I loved the idea so much that I couldn’t let the stamp set go without trying it myself at least once 🙂

The monster heads are actually one of the flower heads from the Simple Stems set.

They remind me of Animal from the muppets!

The card base is a large square of Real Red, matted with DSP. The “fluffy flower” from Simple Stems (Wood 133098 or Clear 133101) was stamped in Gumball Green, Daffodil Delight and Pacific Point inks onto Whisper White card. This was matted onto Gumball Green card and popped up on dimensionals on the card front. A sentiment from Sassy Salutations (Wood 132070 or Clear 126707) was stamped in Real Red onto Whisper White card and one of the flower stems stamped either side of the sentiment in the same ink as a border. This layer was also matted onto Gumball Green card and popped up on dimensionals on the card front. Googly eyes were added to the “monster heads”.

On the inside, a couple more “fluffy flowers” were stamped slightly off the Whisper White insert and the eyes drawn on this time with a Basic Black marker. A sentiment from Regarding Dahlias (Wood 130324 or Clear 130327) was stamped in Real Red ink.

Don’t forget that the Simple Stems set will disappear at the end of this month.
