Wondrous wreath in pinks – sneak peek

August 24, 2014

I have another photopolymer set to share as today’s sneak peek and this one has a matching set of framelits to make the cutting out so much easier 🙂

Better still, the stamp set and the framelits are available as a bundle – saving 15%!! 😀

As I’ve shared before, the photopolymer makes stamp placement virtually error free as you can see exactly where you’re stamping, so lining up the darker leaves and berries was a cinch.

I opted for using pinks to give the card a more contemporary feel and make it more of a girlie card. We’ll be making this card in an alternative colour combo as part of our November stamp-a-stack class on Saturday 8 November. If you’d like to attend this class, then please email me and I’ll reserve you a place.

The card base is an A6 portrait of Blushing Bride. Hardwood was stamped in Smoky Slate ink onto Whisper White card, cut into sections, adhered direct to a mat of more Whisper White card and then adhered direct to the card front. The base wreath from Wondrous Wreath was stamped in Blushing Bride ink onto Whisper White card, then overstamped with the darker leaf wreath in Strawberry Slush and overstamped again with the berries in Cherry Cobbler. Matching framelits from the Wondrous Wreath set were used to die cut out the wreath, which was then popped up on dimensionals on the card front. Smoky Slate ink was used to stamp the bow and ribbon onto Whisper White card and then die cut out with more of the framelits and adhered over the wreath. Finally, Joy was die cut from Silver Foil and adhered over the wreath.

On the inside, a sentiment from the Wondrous Wreath set and the poinsettia were stamped in Strawberry Slush and Blushing Bride inks.

Tomorrow I’ll have a quick and simple masculine Christmas card to share.
