I’m back at a well known coffee shop this afternoon so that I can use their free internet access to catch up with my blogging! That’s over a month now with no internet service at home and a mobile service that can’t get a signal some days 🙁
But I’m thinking ahead and hopefully I’ll get a few posts scheduled. That way, even if I can’t get connected again for a day or two, you’ll still get to see new projects 🙂
Today’s little duo makes use of the Filigree Frame embossing folder. The scrolls on the embossing, work well with scrolls on the text. Unfortunately, I can only guess that this design is sized for US card sizes, as it doesn’t work quite as well with A6 card layers. It almost fully fills the card top to bottom but then leaves a gap at the sides. To incorporate this gap in the design, I pushed it over to one side only and then used the negative space for the trim.
The card base is an A6 landscape of Mossy Meadow. A mat of Very Vanilla was run through the Big Shot in the Filigree Frame embossing folder (tip – do two together as here and you get a slightly softer embossing – less crackling of the card – and you have two quick cards to boot). The mat was cut down to just around the embossed area and was stamped with a sentiment from Feel Goods in Mossy Meadow ink before adhering direct to the right hand side of the card front. Finally, Natural & Old Olive Two-Tone Trim was tied around the left hand edge in a bow and the ends knotted to prevent them from unravelling.
Here’s the other sentiment.
Hopefully I’ll be back tomorrow (as long as the scheduling works or I can get to an internet connection) to share news of an event that’s happening this weekend – but if you just can’t wait, then you can always check it out in the Calendar of Events menu in the top bar 😉
