Yay! We asked and they delivered!

Many of us were disappointed last year, that there were no Christmas stamps in the Annual Catalogue. There will be an Autumn/Winter catty coming to us in September, full of great new goodies for harvest, halloween, Christmas and other occasions for the end of the year … but some of us like to get an early start 🙂

So, for those of us who like to be prepared, SU! have included a Christmas section on pages 67 – 72 (and there are two bundles included!).

Here’s one of my first Christmas cards of the year 😀

The base card is two large scallop circles, die cut from Island Indigo card using the largest of the Circles Collection framelits. A line was scored across the top of the back circle to create a fold and Multipurpose Liquid Glue used above this fold line to glue the two circles together. A circle mat of Mint Macaron and a smaller one of more Island Indigo card were adhered direct to the card front. Using Mint Macaron ink, the full set of leaves from the Wondrous Wreath* set were stamped onto Whisper White card. Island Indigo ink was then used to overstamp with the highlighted leaves and finally Night of Navy was used for the berries (more as a place marker for a later step). The matching Wonderful Wreath* die was used to cut out the wreath which was then popped up on dimensionals on the card front. Joy and the bow were die cut from Silver Foil, the bow popped up and the Joy adhered across the front of the wreath. Finally, Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details were used to cover the berries.

On the Whisper White insert (cut again with a Circles Collection framelit), a sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped in Island Indigo ink.

From July onwards we will be bringing you a new Christmas project every weekend – sometimes a card, other times, gift box, wrap or tag idea.

If you don’t start your Christmas preparations that early, or even celebrate Christmas at all, you will still be able to use the projects as sketch ideas or colour combos for other occasions, so please stop by.
