We have a new butterfly stamp set on the block with this new catalogue … and it also comes as a bundle!
I love butterflies and although I already have the Butterfly Basics set I still couldn’t resist getting this one as it’s a very different style of butterflies. Called Watercolor Wings, it does give a very watercoloured effect 🙂
The card base is an A6 portrait of Bermuda Bay, matted with a layer of So Saffron card that was first run through the Big Shot in the Fluttering embossing folder. Using So Saffron ink, the large butterfly from Watercolor Wings* was stamped onto Whisper White card. The wing tips were overstamped with Crushed Curry ink and the detail added with Bermuda Bay ink. After die cutting out the butterfly with the matching Bold Butterfly* framelits, the body was stamped over the top with Chocolate Chip ink. Bermuda Bay ink was used to stamp the sentiment from the set onto a strip of Whisper White card. The teeny butterfly wings were added with So Saffron and the butterfly body with Chocolate Chip ink. To turn the strip into a banner, it was punched at one end with the Hexagon and then popped up on dimensionals on the card front. A small butterfly die cut from Bermuda Bay card was added to the card front.

On the Whisper White insert, the medium butterfly from Watercolor Wings was stamped with So Saffron ink. The wing tips were overstamped with Crushed Curry ink, the detail added with Bermuda Bay and the body and antennae in Chocolate Chip ink. A sentiment from Endless Birthday Wishes was added in Bermuda Bay ink.
I can’t quite decide which butterfly bundle I like best; Butterfly Basics or Watercolor Wings 🙂
