Unfortunately it’s been one of those unhappy occasions where I’ve needed to send a sympathy card … and I’d used all the ones I’d made previously. This is not the sort of card you want to make under pressure. For inspiration I turned to Pinterest and saw a few sympathy cards made with the World of Dreams set. The silhouettes seem to work well with sympathy sentiments.

I decided though to add a little paper to the background for my version. We have a number of blacks to choose from now but this lace pattern from the Timeless Elegance pack fit the bill for me.

The card base is an A6 portrait of Basic Black, matted with Timeless Elegance DSP. Memento Black ink was used to stamp the leafy fronds from World of Dreams onto a panel of Very Vanilla and the same ink was used to stamp the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments, beneath it. After matting the stamped panel onto Basic Black card it was popped up on the card front with dimensionals.

Onward now to some happier crafting but I’ll be coming back to sympathy cards very soon, so that I don’t get caught without them again.
