Happy Valentine’s Day!

My sweetheart took the time to make me a handcrafted valentine card! I so appreciate it. He has a busy schedule and for him to take time out to make me a card makes it all the more precious.

It’s all his own work and he even tested a few different colour combos for the butterflies and practiced overstamping them before he started!

The card base is an A6 portrait of Blackberry Bliss matted with Love Blossoms DSP that had first been run through the Decorative Dots folder. Two small butterflies from Watercolor Wings were stamped in Blushing Bride ink onto Whisper White card and then overstepped with the wind details in Rose Red and Blackberry Bliss (the latter stamped off first for a lighter look). Blackberry Bliss was also used to stamp the butterfly bodies before die cutting them out with the Butterflies thinlits and popping them up on the card front with dimensionals. A large butterfly was die cut from Blackberry Bliss card using the Bold Butterfly framelits. The corresponding butterfly from the Butterflies thinlits set was then die cut from Silver Foil and adhered over the top before adding to the card front.

On the Blushing Bride insert he stamped the sentiment from Pictogram Punches in Blackberry Bliss ink. He then went around the edges stamping the hearts and butterflies from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar in Rose Red and Blushing Bride inks respectively.

I think he did well don’t you?

Sara xx
