This small What I Love vellum card is totally sheer, with a pop of coloured embossing.
Although the Vellum cardstock is a heavier weight than ordinary vellum and can support itself as a card, we’ve kept it small so that the weight of the panels doesn’t cause it to bow.
When heat embossing, it’s best to get the heat gun good and hot before applying it to the vellum to keep any warping to a minimum.
The card base is a small square of Vellum cardstock. After stamping the outline flower from the What I Love set, off the corners of the front of the card using Versamark ink, it was then heat embossing with Cherry Cobbler EP. Leaves from the same set were stamped and heat embossed with Whisper White EP. Basic Black ink was used to stamp the first sentiment from Perfect Pairings onto Whisper White card and then Cherry Cobbler ink to stamp the other half of the pair beneath it. The sentiment was die cut out with one of the Tags & Labels framelits and popped up on a larger Label die cut from Cherry Cobbler card before adhering to the front of the card.
A smaller Whisper White Label was adhered behind the front label, on the inside front, to hide adhesive showing through. Another Whisper White Label was adhered inside the card as a message panel and a larger Label die cut from Cherry Cobbler card was adhered to the outside back.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend 🙂
