Kissed Botanicals birthday card

March 4, 2016

Today’s card uses the kissing technique, i.e. inking a small or patterned stamp with a contrasting colour and touching it to a ready inked larger/solid stamp before stamping out.

We used the puddle of small flowers from the Botanical Blooms set to kiss with, as it matches the DSP in the background, but you could also use the small flower that comes in the Botanicals For You set.

The card base is an A6 portrait matted with Botanical Gardens DSP. Using Mint Macaron the bold sentiment from Botanicals for You was inked up and then the small flowers from Botanical Blooms were inked with Cajun Craze ink and “kissed” repeatedly to the sentiment. A “huff” to revive the ink and it was stamped onto a panel of Whisper White card. The small flower and leaves from Botanicals for You were stamped in the corner with Cajun Craze and Mint Macaron inks. After matting the panel onto Mint Macaron card it was popped up on the card front with dimensionals. It’s My Party Enamel Dots were added to the corners to finish.

On the Whisper White insert, a smaller sentiment from the set and a flower were stamped in Cajun Craze ink and leaves were added with Mint Macaron ink.
