It’s Wednesday and so we a project idea for you using washi-tape – this time we’re using the Stylish Stripes embossing folder as a guide for our tape. This design is great for creating masculine cards with a splash of colour. Nothing too frilly and flat for posting but too sombre either.
Having run the lower two-thirds of a Thick Whisper White card layer through the Big Shot with the Stylish Stripes embossing folder, washi tape is then applied to the larger stripes. The narrow tapes from the It’s My Party tape set were used here.
The card base is an A6 portrait of Mint Macaron. A card layer of Thick Whisper White was embossed and washi taped as explained above. Basic Black ink was used to stamp the sentiment from Happy Birthday Everyone (a hostess set) in the negative space above the embossing. Basic Black Stitched Satin Ribbon was wrapped around the layer between the sentiment and the embossing before adhering the layer direct to the card front.
On the inside of the card a sentiment from Happy Happenings was stamped in Basic Black ink.
As for previous projects, if you don’t have/like washi-tape then you could substitute strips of DSP to make this card.
