Today’s card uses the Swirly Bird set. I could have ordered this set as part of my pre-order a month ahead of the catty coming out (a perk for SU! demonstrators) but to be honest I just didn’t “get it”.
It seemed to just be a bunch of shapes!
But I then saw so many beautiful samples on Pinterest (especially when you add in the matching thinlits too) that the bundle was first on my list when I put in my main order after the catty launch! Yes, it happens to me too – I see what others have made and just have to have it, lol.
The bundle makes so much sense if you have a die cutting machine but the card here was just created using the stamps.
The card base is a small square of Night of Navy. A panel of Whisper White was stamped with the boat base from the Swirly Bird set in Night of Navy ink. The sails were added with Real Red ink and then topped with the teeny flag in Night of Navy. Waves were stamped below using Pool Party and the sun added with Daffodil Delight. Finally, a sentiment from the Vertical Greetings set was stamped in Night of Navy down the side of the panel before matting onto Real Red card and popping up on the card front with dimensionals.
Sweet and easy. I know I’m going to get so much use from this bundle.
