One of the colour trends in the crafting world at the moment is Copper and as well as some gorgeous papers, washi-tape and threads that all incorporate Copper, SU! also added a Copper EP to the line up in the annual catalogue. I’ve combined it with the limited time stamp set here, to create an anniversary card.
The photography doesn’t really do it justice as it’s one of those cards that you just want to touch to feel the texture. The Copper EP is a really fine quality and heats to a very smooth gloss – just beautiful!
The card base is an A6 portrait of Crumb Cake. A layer of Very Vanilla card was stamped with the grass from Thoughtful Branches and a sentiment from Number of Years, in Versamark ink and all were heat embossed with Copper EP. This layer was adhered direct to a mat of Crumb Cake and then both were popped up on the card front with dimensionals. The tree trunk from the set was stamped onto Crumb Cake card and the leaves onto Very Vanilla card, both with Versamark ink and again embossed with Copper EP. These were both die cut out with the matching Beautiful Branches thinlits and popped up on the card front with slivers of dimensionals. Finally the two birds from the Thoughtful Branches set were stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink onto Very Vanilla card, die cut out and popped up in the leaves of the tree with slivers of dimensionals.
On the Very Vanilla insert, a sentiment from Floral Phrases was framed with little leaves from the Thoughtful Branches set, all stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink.
We have some Thoughtful Branches classes scheduled for August if you’d like to come along and work with this fabulous set and the matching framelits with me.
Have a great weekend.
