I’d seen a few variations on this style of card on Pinterest and decided to try my own version. I’m really happy with how it turned out and plan to use the same idea with other papers and colours – so don’t be surprised if they keep popping up on my blog now and then.
The card base is an A6 portrait of Basic Black. A panel of Whole Lot of Lovely DSP was adhered direct to the right side of the card front. Two panels of Basic Black card were edged with narrow strips of Powder Pink card. The wider panel was dusted with the Embossing Buddy and stamped with a sentiment from Happy Birthday Gorgeous in Versamark before heat embossing with White EP. Both panels were popped up on dimensionals on the card front. The Lovely Words Thinlits were used to die cut two of the “friend” sentiment from Whisper White card, one of which was first backed with Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet before cutting. The sticky backed word was adhered over the top of the non-backed word to give additional strength and then each end of the word was adhered direct to the panels.
On the Whisper White insert another sentiment and flower and leaves from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous set were stamped in Archival Black ink and allowed to dry. The infill flower and leaves were stamped in Powder Pink and Pear Pizzazz inks respectively.
Which papers would you like to see this card made with?
Have a great weekend.
