In the City is one of our fantastic new hostess sets in the Annual Catalogue. Although this set is only available to “hostesses” you don’t necessarily need to have a workshop or party to qualify. If you gather a few orders from friends or even if you have a big wish list of your own you may still meet the minimum £150 order (before p&p) and qualify. In the City is a set of 60 photopolymer stamps (yes, 60!). It includes sentiments, outline stamps and fill-in stamps. You can stamp the outlines and colour them in with pencils or markers or you can use the fill-in stamps to stamp over the top.
The card base is an A6 portrait of Pool Party. A card front layer of Whisper White was run through the Big Shot with the Garden Trellis embossing folder and then adhered direct to the card front. Using Basic Black ink, the sentiment and outline stamps for the house, tree and stork from In the City were all stamped together on a large scrap of Whisper White. The fill-in stamps were stamped with Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz and Pool Party respectively before die cutting the images out with a Layering Circle. This was adhered direct to another, larger Layering Circle die cut from Pool Party card and then popped up on the card from with dimensionals. A bow of Shimmery Pool Party was added to finish the card.
On the Whisper White insert, another sentiment from In the City was stamped in Basic Black.
I made a second card in pinks for a baby girl but as I don’t have any of the new pale pink ribbons I used a retired Pink Pirouette Seam Binding ribbon.
