We’re around to Day 12 of our 20 day series of projects using patterned paper (also known as Designer Series Paper or DSP for short). Today we’re using scraps of paper to make a background for a plain sentiment.
The stamp set we’ve used, Butterfly Basics, is quite a feminine set but by taking just the sentiment and setting it against the Wood Textures DSP background, we’ve given it quite a masculine look.
The card base is an A6 landscape of Crumb Cake, matted with Early Espresso. A card front layer (we used Crumb Cake but any colour will do provided it won’t contrast too strongly with the papers you choose) was covered with Multi-Purpose Adhesive Sheet and strips of Wood Textures DSP were arranged over it in a herringbone style pattern. This layer was adhered direct to the card front. Using Early Espresso ink, a sentiment from Butterfly Basics was stamped onto Very Vanilla card and then die cut out with a square Stitched Shapes framelit. A larger square Stitched Shape framelit was die cut from Early Espresso card and the sentiment was popped up on the darker square with dimensionals and then bot onto the card front with more dimensionals.
On the Very Vanilla insert, another sentiment from the set was stamped in Early Espresso ink and a motif from the set was stamped after first stamping off for a paler look.
Our Designer Series Paper Sale is still on – you get one pack free when you buy three others (pay for this Wood Textures pack which is only £9 and you can choose to get a more expensive one for free!).
Thanks for stopping by.
