Painted Valentine card

January 11, 2018

Today’s valentine’s day card uses the same mix of Painted with Love Specialty DSP and the Heart Happiness stamp set that I used last week, but to create an entirely different card.

Psst! Want to know where I found the inspiration for the card? It’s on page 20 of the Spring Summer catalogue – so many great ideas to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) in there.

A quick change of colour combo and DSP for the background and you have a different card.

The card base is an A6 landscape of Melon Mambo, matted with Painted With Love DSP that was first wrapped with 1/8″ Gold Ribbon. A variety of hearts from the Heart Happiness set were stamped onto Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry and Powder Pink card with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Gold EP. A sentiment from the Lots of Love set was stamped onto Whisper White card with Calypso Coral ink. Sweet and Sassy framelits were used to die cut out all the hearts, which were then popped up on the card front with dimensionals. Hearts & Stars Elements were adhered direct and a tiny bow of the 1/8″ Gold Ribbon was added with a Mini Glue Dot to finish.

On the Whisper White insert, the striped heart from Heart Happiness was stamped in Calypso Coral ink. Smaller hearts from the same set were added with Rich Razzleberry ink, stamping off first for a paler shade. A sentiment from Petal Palette was stamped over the large heart with full strength Rich Razzleberry ink. A strip of the same DSP used on the front was added to the insert to finish.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sara xx
