One of the first “gotta have” stamp sets for me from the Spring Summer was Charming Cafe. I love how little scenes can be built in multiple layers.
The friendly thank you sentiments in the set are great as they are but I think such a beautiful and clever set of images are suited to a more special occasion. And what could be more special than the wedding anniversary of my Mum and Dad?
The card base is an A4 of Shimmery White, folded into 3 panels and trimmed to a height of 5-13/16″ (to fit into a C6 envelope). An inner frame was die cut from the front panel with the Cafe Builder framelits. Using Basic Black ink, the frame was stamped onto a separate piece of Shimmery White card, coloured in with Stampin’ Write Markers, die cut out and popped up on the card front with mini dimensionals. Sentiments from the Happy Wishes set were added above and below the frame with Basic Black ink and the flowers on the “happy” sentiment coloured in.
On the centre panel the table and chairs image and the topiary tree were stamped and coloured in. The floor was given a “wash” of Crumb Cake ink by scribbling the marker onto a slick surface, picking up the colour and painting it on with an Aqua Painter. Another centre frame was die cut out with the Cafe Builder framelits and sentiments from Thoughtful Banners were added above the frame with Basic Black ink.
On the final inside panel, a “wash” of Pool Party ink was added and a sentiment from Petal Palette was stamped below in Basic Black ink.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Thanks for stopping by.
