One of the cute new stamp sets in the Spring/Summer catty is the Bird Banter set.
I used just 3 of the 19 stamps in the set for the front of this thank you card.
The card base is an A6 portrait of Lemon-Lime Twist. A card front layer of Bermuda Bay was run through the Big shot with the Layered Leaves embossing folder. Lengths of Lemon Lime Twist Mini Striped Ribbon and Bermuda Bay Shimmer Ribbon (from the Shimmer Ribbon Pack – free with purchase during Sale-a-bration) were layered together and wrapped around the the card front layer before adhering it direct to the card front. A further couple of pieces of the ribbons were tied onto the front in a knot and secured with Mini Glue Dots. Using Tuxedo Memento Black ink, the branch, toucan and sentiment from the Bird Banter set were stamped in an arrangement onto a large scrap of Whisper White card and just the toucan was stamped onto a smaller scrap. After colouring in the leaves, the arranged stamps were die cut out with the Layering Ovals framelits and matted onto another oval die cut from Myths & Magic Glimmer Paper. These were popped up on the card front with dimensionals. The toucan was coloured with Stampin’ Blends, fussy cut out and popped up over the original stamped toucan with mini dimensionals.
On the Whisper White insert a budgie from the Bird Banter set was stamped in Bermuda Bay ink and an off-cut from the embossed layer from the card front was adhered down the side.
