Onto day 3 of our new and returning colour focus, where I’m sharing projects that showcase one of these additions to the Stampin’ Up! colour families and suggesting a possible colour combination.
Today we’re onto to Poppy Parade. This is a returning colour – it was an In Color several years ago. As an In Color it was only around for two years but now it’s part of our fixed colour family range. It’s a beautiful bright poppy red.
And as a bright red colour I couldn’t resist teaming it with Basic Black and Silver.
The card base is an A6 portrait of Basic Black. Using Versamark ink, a balloon string sentiment from the Balloon Celebration set was stamped on the left side of the card front and heat embossed with Silver EP. A Panel of Whisper White was stamped with the balloon strings from the set in Memento Black ink. The small fill-in balloon was stamped twice, once above a string and once onto scraps of Whisper White card with Poppy Parade, Memento Black and Versamark inks and the Versamark was heat embossed with Silver EP. Using the Balloon Bouquet punch those stamped onto scraps were punched out popped up over the stamped strings in the panel and any overhanging elements were trimmed away. Poppy Parade ink was used to stamp a bow around the strings before adhering the panel to a mat of Silver Foil and then popping it up on the card front with dimensionals. To finish a small balloon punched from Poppy Parade card with the Balloon Bouquet was popped up at the top of the sentiment with a dimensional.
On the Whisper White insert, a sentiment, stars and balloon string were all stamped in Memento Black ink and then a small balloon was stamped above the string with Poppy Parade ink.
Hope you are finding inspiration from these colour combos. I’ll be back with another tomorrow.
Thanks for stopping by.
