Day 8 of our new and returning colour focus, where I’m sharing projects that showcase one of these additions to the Stampin’ Up! colour families and suggesting a possible colour combination.
Today’s colour is Shaded Spruce. This is a brand new colour in the Regals family and is a beautiful deep fir tree green.
This green combines very easily with many other colours in our palette, so much so that I’ve already used it in a previous combination. Here it’s teamed with Granny Apple Green, which is another new green and with our existing Blushing Bride. This colour combo comes from the Tropical Escape DSP.
The card base is an A6 portrait of Shaded Spruce. A layer of Tropical Escape DSP was matted onto Blushing Bride card and two pieces of Shaded Spruce ribbon from the Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack were wrapped around before adhering the layers direct to the card front. Another piece of the same ribbon was tied onto each wrapped piece. Using Shaded Spruce ink, the large spray of leaves and a sentiment from the Petal Palette set were stamped onto a panel of Whisper White card. Small flowers from the set were stamped with Blushing Bride ink. This panel was matted onto Granny Apple Green and then Shaded Spruce card before popping it up on the card front with dimensionals.
On the Whisper White insert, the edges were stamped with the leaf spray in Shaded Spruce ink and the small flower with Blushing Bride. A strip of the DSP used on the front was added at the base of the insert.
Hope you’re having a great weekend.
Thanks for stopping by.
