Merry Christmas thinlit birthday card – sneak peek

August 28, 2018

Today’s sneak peek shows how versatile our Autumn/Winter product range is.

The Merry Christmas thinlits aren’t just for Christmas and the Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon isn’t just for Halloween. Here they’ve been combined for a birthday card.

As this was a card for a crafty friend I was able to make it an easel card, confident that she would know how to stand it up.

The card base is a top folding A6 portrait of Basic Black. A card front layer of Pumpkin Pie was run through the Big Shot in the Tufted embossing folder, wrapped with Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon and adhered direct to a card front layer of Basic Black. A bow of the same ribbon was adhered to the wrapped ribbon using Glue Dots. “Happy” was die cut from both Basic Black card and Silver Foil using the Merry Christmas thinlits, these were adhered together, offsetting them slightly for a shadow effect and popping them up on the card front with slivers of dimensionals. A sentiment panel was die cut from Basic Black card using the same thinlits set, stamped with a sentiment from Perennial Birthday in Versamark ink and heat embossed with Silver EP. The panel was also popped up on the card front. To finish, Irredescent Sequins were adhered direct in a scattered fashion. The whole card front panel was adhered direct to just the bottom half of the card front.

On the Whisper White insert, a sentiment from Perennial Birthday was stamped in Memento Black ink. Flowers from the same set were added with Pumpkin Pie ink and leaves stamped with more of the Memento Black ink. A deep panel of Tufted embossed Pumpkin Pie was popped up on dimensionals at the base of the insert, to make a stopper for the easel.

Thanks for stopping by.
