Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrator

In Every Season birthday card

September 12, 2018

Flitting back to a birthday card today, I’ve finally opened a stamp set I got for free when I attended the Stampin’ Up! conference in April!

This set has a different flower image for each month … but there’s nothing to say you have to use them that way. I selected two to colour in for this card.

The colour combo is Shaded Spruce (a favourite new green for me), Highland Heather and Whisper White. There’s also just a dash of Gorgeous Grape and Garden Green in the colouring in.

The card base is an A6 landscape of Shaded Spruce. A card front layer of the same colour was run through the Big Shot with the Layered Leaves embossing folder before adhering it direct to the card front. Two of the flowers from In Every Season were stamped onto Whisper White card with Black Stazon ink and then coloured in with Highland Heather, Shaded Spruce, Gorgeous Grape and Garden Green markers. Layering Squares were used to die cut the flowers out and a third square of the same size was die cut from Whisper White card and stamped “diamond-wise” with a sentiment from Picture Perfect Birthday using Highland Heather ink. All the squares were popped up onto Scallop Squares die cut from Highland Heather card using the same framelit set. All were then popped up on the card front with more dimensionals.

On the Whisper White insert, another sentiment from Picture Perfect Birthday was stamped with Highland Heather ink and another flower from In Every Season was stamped with Shaded Spruce ink.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sara xx
