The new Black Foil Sheets in the Autumn/Winter catalogue are absolutely gorgeous for embossing with and I had them in mind for a masculine birthday card.
I’ve kind of broken one of my unwritten rules for masculine cards though and included a little glitter. What do you think? Too much for a man’s card or okay?
The colour combo is more two-tone using Basic Black and Coastal Cabana but there is just that tiny hint of Silver in there too from the glitter.
The card base is a small square of Coastal Cabana, matted with Basic Black card and more Coastal Cabana. A small square of Black Foil was run through the Big Shot with the Tin Tile embossing folder and Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon was wrapped around vertically and horizontally before adhering the layer direct to the card front. A sentiment from Happy Birthday Gorgeous was stamped onto Coastal Cabana card with Memento Black ink and die cut out with the label from Santa’s Signpost framelits. This was then tied onto the card front with a cut edge of the same ribbon.
The Whisper White insert was embossed down the right edge with the same Tin Tile embossing folder and sentiments from Happy Birthday Gorgeous were stamped in Memento Black ink.
