The Tropical Chic set has some great thank you sentiments but today I’ve teamed it with Perennial Birthday to create a birthday card.
The paper used on the card front is a very subtle pattern from the Tropical Escape DSP pack. It’s actually just a simple wash but it was given a little extra depth with some stamping.
A pink card for a girlie friend, the colour combo is Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo and Shaded Spruce.
The card base is an A6 portrait of Blushing Bride, matted with Shaded Spruce. A card front layer of Tropical Escape DSP was stamped with a sentiment from Perennial Birthday using Flirty Flamingo ink. Leaves from the Tropical Chic set were stamped randomly in the background with the same ink but stamped off first each time. One of the Flirty Flamingo Colored Doilies was adhered direct to the layer and the overhanging portion trimmed away before adhering the layers direct to the card front. Two leaves were die cut from Shaded Spruce card with the Tropical thinlits and adhered behind a Stitched Shapes circle, die cut from Blushing Bride card. These were popped up on the card front with dimensionals. After stamping the flower from the set onto Whisper White card with Flirty Flamingo ink, it was die cut out and adhered direct to the circle. Finally, a number of Irridescent Sequins were adhered direct.
On the Whisper White insert, sentiments from Perennial Birthday were stamped in Flirty Flamingo ink. The stripes from the Tropical Chic set were stamped with Flirty Flamingo ink onto a strip of the same DSP used on the front, stamping off first each time and then adhering the strip to the base of the insert.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hope you’re having a great weekend.
