Another masculine Christmas card today and this one uses a colour combo that I use on a previous masculine Christmas card here.
The front of the card looked just a little too plain with only the cut away sentiment area and so pine boughs were added for a little extra dimension and balance.
The colour combo is Merry Merlot, Tranquil Tide and Metallic Copper.
The card base is an A6 portrait of Tranquil Tide, matted with Merry Merlot. A card front layer of Whisper White was stamped in the lower right corner with the circles from the Making Christmas Bright set using Tranquil Tide ink. A card front layer of Joyous Noel was prepared by die cutting a Layering Circle from the lower right corner. This was then used to help position the stampin in the next step. Merry Merlot was used to stamp sentiments from the set inside the circles. The stamped layer was adhered direct to the front of the card. A Layering Circle the next size down was used to die cut a circular frame from a square of Copper Foil. This was positioned behind the Joyous Noel layer and the extra portion of the frame was trimmed away before popping up on the card front with dimensionals. Pine branches and a bow were die cut from Tranquil Tide and Merry Merlot card respectively using the Pretty Pines thinlits. These were adhered direct to the upper left corner of the card front.
On the Whisper White insert, a sentiment from Making Christmas Bright was stamped in Merry Merlot ink and stars from the same set were stamped across the top at different levels using Tranquil Tide ink. A skinny strip of the DSP used on the front was adhered along the base and an even skinnier strip of Merry Merlot card adhered above it.
Thanks for stopping by.
