Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrator

3rd Annual Pink Blog Hop

October 22, 2018

We are crafting today in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

I’m just one stop on a global blog hop and each of us is featuring one (or more) of the many shades of pink, in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

For my contribution to the Pink Blog Hop, I’ve chosen to make a pink Christmas card.

First of all, I created my own pink tartan background by stamping the Buffalo Check onto Whisper White card with Melon Mambo ink. Additional lines were ruled onto the check with Flirty Flamingo and Smoky Slate markers.

The card base is an A6 landscape of Melon Mambo, matted with Smoky Slate and then a layer of the homemade pink tartan design. A sentiment was die cut from Smoky Slate card using the Merry Christmas thinlit dies and was painted with the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush for an extra bit of glitz (see the close up above for the full effect). This was adhered, offset slightly, to three more layers of the sentiment, die cut from Melon Mambo card and then the stacked die cuts were adhered direct to the card front at an angle. Silver Mini Sequin Trim was tied in a bow and adhered direct to the upper left corner and then silver sequins from the Metallics Sequin Assortment were dotted around (placement helped greatly by the Take Your Pick tool).

On the Whisper White insert, a sentiment from the Merry Christmas To All set was stamped in Melon Mambo ink. Smoky Slate ink was used to add holly leaves from the same set and berries were added with a Flirty Flamingo marker. A strip of the homemade tartan from the front of the card, was adhered below.

Continue on your journey of inspiration, whether you came from the person before me or after me,  all participants are listed below.
