Today’s card puts the Delightfully Detailed Specialty Paper front and centre. I love that it is Whisper White on one side and Very Vanilla on the other, so you can use it with any colour combination. With such beautiful lacework you really don’t need to add much else to it.
And whilst I’ve used the elegant combination of Fresh Fig and Very Vanilla before, this time I decided to pep it up a bit with my third colour!
The colour combo is Fresh Fig, Granny Apple Green and Very Vanilla.
The card base is an A6 portrait of Fresh Fig. A card front layer of Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper was adhered (just around the edges) to some Window Sheet for support. A slightly larger card front layer of Granny Apple Green card had the centre cut away using the Stampin’ Trimmer and the Specialty Paper was adhered behind, creating a frame. These layers were popped up on the card front with Foam Adhesive Strips placed all around the edges and then a few snips of the Strips just placed behind a few of the larger central leaves to give a little support in the centre. Using both Fresh Fig and Granny Apple Green inks, a sentiment from the Darling Label Punch Box was stamped onto Very Vanilla card. The punch from the set was used to punch out the Fresh Fig version and then just the birthday sentiment was snipped from the Granny Apple Green one and popped up over the top with mini dimensionals. Another Darling Label was punched from Granny Apple Green card, snipped in two and adhered behind the main sentiment before popping up on the card front.
On the Very Vanilla insert, another sentiment from the set was stamped in Fresh Fig ink and two skinny strips of Fresh Fig and Granny Apple Green card were adhered at the base.
