Snowfall vellum snowflake Christmas card

November 8, 2018

I’m using the Snowfall thinlits again today – don’t forget that the products from the Snowflake Showcase suite are only available this month or while stocks last!

I’m heading off to Birmingham tomorrow ready for our 30th anniversary Stampin’ Up! convention on Saturday – can’t wait! Better get working on my swaps though – I’ve only got 20 made so far.

The colour combo is one of my favourite contemporary Christmas mixes, using Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana and Whisper White.

The card base is an A6 portrait of Bermuda Bay. A card front layer of Coastal Cabana was die cut with the largest snowflake from the Snowfall thinlits and then run through the Big Shot with the Subtle folder before adhering direct to the card front. The same size snowflake was die cut from vellum and adhered direct to the negative space left behind. After die cutting a solid snowflake from Bermuda Bay card and a small intricate one from Whisper White card, these were adhered direct to the centre of the larger vellum one and finished with a Basic Rhinestone in the centre. Sentiments from Merry Christmas To All were stamped onto Whisper White card with Coastal Cabana ink and die cut out with the Merry Christmas thinlit label. Snowfall thinlits were used to die cut a couple of sprigs from vellum and these weer adhered direct behind the label before it was popped up on the card front with dimensionals.

The Whisper White insert was stamped with a sentiment and a scroll from the Merry Christmas To All set using Coastal Cabana ink and small snowflakes were die cut out with the Snowfall thinlits.

Thanks for stopping by.
