At our recent convention, Stampin’ Up! introduced a fun new social media campaign called #simplestamping. It’s designed to focus on new crafters, showing them that card making can be easy and of course, fun … but personally I think it will also appeal to more experienced crafters. Simple stamping means quick and easy and we all need that style of stamping now and then, especially for batches of cards, so … win – win 😊
This month they’ve set us a challenge with a “Thank You” card theme, using only one stamp set, ink, and note card paper.
I chose the fabulous One For All set (great for beginners), Shaded Spruce (a mid-dark green is a good starter colour) and the Whisper White notecards and envelopes.
The card base is a ready cut and scored Whisper White Note Card. Using Shaded Spruce ink, the thank you sentiment from One For All was stamped in the centre. Then, without reinking, the leafy flourish was stamped again above the image. The same stamp was inked up with more Shaded Spruce ink, it was stamped off once onto scrap paper and then the leafy flourish was stamped again below the image (two shades of colour for the price of one!).
The envelope was stamped across opposite corners with just the leafy flourish part of the stamp, using Shaded Spruce ink.
Thanks for stopping by.
