I’ve been using the gorgeous Joyous Noel DSP for a lot of my Christmas cards but I feel guilty keep sharing those samples with you because the paper has sold out and you can no longer get it. So today I have two cards for you; yes, one uses the Joyous Noel DSP but this first one uses Frosted Floral DSP which is still available at the time of posting.
The cards are very similar, I just varied the bow and ribbon dies used on each (both are in the same Bring on the Presents die set) and of course, the colour combo.
The colour combo is Mint Macaron, Shimmery White and metallic Copper.
The card base is a little shorter than A6 (to allow for the bow when putting it in a standard C6 envelope), top folding portrait card of Mint Macaron. Frosted Floral Specialty DSP was used to cover the front of the card. Using the straight pattern “ribbon” dies from the All The Presents thinlits, two ribbons were die cut from Copper Foil and adhered direct across the card front both vertically and horizontally, with excess snipped away. The top strip was left unglued in the centre to allow thread to be tied through. A bow from the same set was die cut from Copper Foil and popped up on mini dimensionals so that over hangs the top of the card. Mint Macaron ink was used to stamp the label and the sentiment from the Bring on the Presents stamp set onto Shimmery White card before die cutting out with the matching label and tying it on to the card front with Linen Thread.
On the Whisper White insert, Mint Macaron ink was used to stamp sentiments and a flourish from the Merry Christmas To All set.
On now to the Joyous Noel version.
The colour combo this time is Merry Merlot, Gray Granite and metallic Copper.
The card base this time is a little shorter still A6 (to allow for the bigger bow), top folding portrait card of Merry Merlot. Joyous Noel Specialty DSP was used to cover the front of the card. Using the diagonal pattern “ribbon” dies from the All The Presents thinlits, two ribbons were die cut from Gray Granite card and adhered direct across the card front both vertically and horizontally, with excess snipped away. Using Versamark ink, the circular bow and the label from the Bring on the Presents stamp set were stamped on to Gray Granite card and heat embossed with Copper EP. The bow was die cut out and popped up on mini dimensionals so that over hangs the top of the card. The sentiment from the Bring on the Presents stamp set was stamped within the label with Merry Merlot ink before die cutting out with the matching label and tying it on to the card front with Copper Trim.
Thanks for stopping by.
Have a great weekend.
Sara xx
