This birthday card features the Layering Alphabet Edgelits along with the full rainbow of colours from the Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack – a Sale-a-bration freebie!
I’m making the most of my Layering Alphabet Edgelits for the letters. The set was a high price item (though I got the Line Alphabet bundle at half price by hosting a workshop – £66.50 instead of £133!) so I want to get my money’s worth 😊 but you could get a similar effect by stamping the “happy” from the Perennial Birthday set onto different colours of card and cutting them out.
A wider colour combination today to give the rainbow of colours including Grapefruit Grove, Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist, Balmy Blue and Highland Heather.
The card base is an A6 portrait of Grapefruit Grove. A card front layer of Whisper White card was stamped with just the “birthday” from Perennial Birthday along the bottom left corner, using Memento Black ink. Each of the different ribbons from the Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack were adhered around the layer above the stamping, keeping them evenly spaced. After matting the layer onto Basic Black card it was adhered direct to the card front. Letters spelling “happy” were die cut from matching colours of card stock using the Layering Alphabet Edgelits. These were popped up over the ribbon with mini dimensionals.
On the Whisper White insert, another sentiment and a couple of flower images were stamped using Memento Black ink.
Thanks for stopping by.
