Let It Ride birthday card

February 5, 2019

Yesterday was the birthday of a friend who is a horse lover. As soon as I saw this set in the Spring-Summer catty I knew that the Let It Ride stamps would be perfect for her.

I wasn’t feeling quite brave enough for watercolouring on this occasion (a project for the future) so I had fun with my Blends instead.

Colour combination mixing Mossy Meadow, Soft Suede and Crumb Cake, all from Stampin' Up!

The colour combo mixes Mossy Meadow, Soft Suede and Crumb Cake.

The card base is an A6 portrait of Mossy Meadow, matted with Floral Romance Specialty DSP. A Stitched Rectangle was die cut from Whisper White card and stamped with the galloping horse from Let it Ride, using Memento Black ink. The image was coloured with a mix of Stampin’ Blends and then Mossy Meadow ink was used to stamp the trees in the upper left corner before popping the panel up on the card front with dimensionals. Soft Suede ink was used to stamp a sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthdays onto Whisper White card. This was die cut with a Stitched Rectangle, matted onto another Stitched Rectangle die cut from Mossy Meadow card and then popped up over the corner of the main panel.

Insert using Let It Ride stamps

On the Whisper White insert, images and a sentiment from the Let It Ride set were stamped in Soft Suede ink.

Thanks for stopping by.
