This month’s #simplestamping challenge is to create a birthday card with just stamps, ink and paper plus a layer of Designer Series Paper (DSP).

This card is super simple but still stylish and makes a great masculine card.

The colour combo is very simple, just Basic Black and Whisper White.

The card base is an A6 portrait of Basic Black matted with Botanical Butterfly DSP. Using Memento Black ink, the large birthday sentiment from One For All was stamped onto a panel of Whisper White card. This was matted onto more Basic Black card and then adhered direct to the card front.

#simplestamping can extend to the inside of the card too, giving a professional finish. On a Whisper White insert, part of another sentiment from the same One For All set was stamped using Memento Black ink and a strip of the same DSP used on the front was added as a border.
