White Lasting Lily sympathy card

March 29, 2019

Sympathy cards can be one of the hardest to make. Rather than feel under pressure to create when dealing with grief, I prefer to make these cards in advance and save them in my card box for when they are needed.

Lasting Lily (Sale-a-bration freebie) sympathy card

The Sale-a-bration set, Lasting Lily, has beautiful images and sentiments to cover a variety of occasions. You still have until this Sunday to get this set free with a £90 purchase.

Colour combination mixing Basic Black, Whisper White and Old Olive all from Stampin' Up!

This colour combo adds a small splash of Old Olive to the simple black and white.

The card base is an A6 portrait of Basic Black. Using the Stamparatus and Whisper White ink, the flowers, stems and leaves from Lasting Lily were stamped onto a card front layer of Basic Black. Keeping the card in position on the Stamparatus the stems and leaves were stamped again with Old Olive ink. After allowing the ink to dry, the layer was matted onto Whisper White card. Using Memento Black ink, a sentiment from the Lasting Lily set was stamped onto a Stitched Label framelit die cut from Whisper White card. Old Olive Sheer Ribbon was threaded through the label and wrapped around the card front layers before adhering them direct to the card front.

Insert using sentiment and image from Lasting Lily (Sale-a-bration freebie)

On the Whisper White insert, a sentiment and the smaller flower from the Lasting Lily set were stamped with Memento Black ink.

Thanks for stopping by.

Have a great weekend.
