DSP Share Project 6

June 10, 2019

Today’s DSP share project 6 (please scroll down to see previous projects) is a 2-4-1. We’re creating two cards at once – for a girl’s birthday and a boy’s birthday.

To celebrate the launch of the new annual catalogue I’m offering a paper share. This is a chance to get a little of all the different papers that are new out. And to help you use it, I’m sharing a series of projects with patterned paper as a major element.

DSP Share Project 6 using Dinoroar.

Today we’re using papers that have a repeating pattern but in different colours. The Dinoroar DSP has several patterns that repeat in different colours but the two used here have a pink version and a blue version, perfect for kids cards.

You could also use this same idea with any of the In Color and family colour collections. Both the Magnolia Lane and Garden Lane DSP also have repeating patterns in different colours.

Colour Combo

We have two different colour combinations, one for the girls and one for the boys.

Instructions

DSP Share Project 6 using Dinoroar.

Start with an A6 portrait card of Flirty Flamingo/Pool Party. Use the jigsaw grid die from the Puzzle Pieces thinlit set, to die cut two sets of puzzle pieces at the same time from both the pink and blue Dinoroar DSP. Adhere the pink pieces direct to a slightly larger mat of Lovely Lipstick, leaving out 4 puzzle pieces. Adhere the blue pieces direct to a slightly larger mat of Pretty Peacock, leaving out 4 puzzle pieces. Use the leftover blue pieces to finish the pink jigsaw and leftover pink pieces to finish the blue jigsaw. Adhere the jigsaws direct to each card front. Using Lovely Lipstick/Pretty Peacock ink, stamp the sentiments from Well Said onto scraps of Whisper White card. Die cut the sentiments with the larger Puzzle Piece thinlit and pop them up on the card fronts with dimensionals.

Insert using Well Said stamps and strips of Dinoroar DSP.

On the Whisper White insert, stamp a sentiment from the Well Said set using Lovely Lipstick/Pretty Peacock ink. Add a strip of Dinoroar DSP across the base.

Thanks for stopping by.
