Today’s DSP share project 7 (please scroll down to see previous projects) is another one that is great for using up scraps of DSP.
To celebrate the launch of the new annual catalogue I’m offering a paper share. This is a chance to get a little of all the different papers that are new out. And to help you use it, I’m sharing a series of projects with patterned paper as a major element.
Today we’re creating a patchwork effect using the Stitched Nested Labels dies but you could also use the same idea with a punch, as I did on this previous card, using the Tailored Tag punch.
For this card we’re also using some of the new In Colors, along with a neutral. Another way you can get some of the Woven Threads DSP used here, is by joining our In Color Club.
Colour Combo
This colour combo mixes Rococo Rose and Sahara Sand with just a splash of Seaside Spray provided by the DSP.
Instructions
Start with an A6 landscape card base of Sahara Sand. Mat direct with a layer of Rococo Rose card. Die cut a mix of patterns of Woven Threads DSP, all with similar shades of colour using the Stitched Nested Labels dies. Using Memento Black ink, stamp a sentiment from Free as a Bird onto one of the plainer patterns of Label and pop it up on dimensionals on a card front layer of Sahara Sand. Arrange other labels around the sentiment, adhering them direct to the card layer and trimming away any excess. Adhere this layer direct to the card front.
On the Whisper White insert, use Memento Black ink to stamp another sentiment from the Free as a Bird set. Using Rococo Rose ink, add flowers and leaves. Finish with a strip of Woven Threads DSP along the base.
Thanks for stopping by.
