DSP Share Project 8

June 12, 2019

Today’s DSP share project 8 (please scroll down to see previous projects) uses the DSP as a base for our focal point.

To celebrate the launch of the new annual catalogue I’m offering a paper share. This is a chance to get a little of all the different papers that are new out. And to help you use it, I’m sharing a series of projects with patterned paper as a major element.

DSP Share Project 8 using See a Silhouette.

We’re actually using two different sets of DSP on this card, See a Silhouette and Perennial Essence. Both sets of papers have good solid blocks of colour that work well for stamping over with outline stamps and/or paper piecing.

I tend to think of birthdays when I see the Floral Essence set but of course the flowers can be used for other occasions too. They are actually anemones but here I’ve used them as poppies for this sympathy card. We’ll be featuring the Floral Essence set in our July card class (for happier occasions) – reserve your place now.

Instructions

DSP Share Project 8 using See a Silhouette.

Start with an A6 portrait card base of Basic Black. Take a card front layer of Basic Black and run it through the Tufted embossing folder before adhering it direct to the card front. Using Memento Black ink, stamp the outline flower from the Floral Essence set, onto the red See a Silhouette DSP. Stamp the flower centre using the same black ink. Fussy cut out. Run a Basic Black marker around the edges of the fussy cutting to ensure that no white shows. Pop up on the card front with dimensionals. Using Memento Black ink, stamp the leaves from the Floral Essence set, onto the green Perennial Essence DSP. Fussy cut out and run the marker around again. Adhere direct to the card front, tucking under the flower.

Die cut the “sympathy” sentiment from Poppy Parade card using the Well Written dies and adhere direct to the card front. Using Memento Black ink, stamp the “heartfelt” sentiment from the Well Said set onto a strip of Poppy Parade card and pop up on mini dimensionals above the die cut sentiment.

Insert using sentiments from Well Said and images from Floral Essence.

On the Whisper White insert, stamp another sentiment from the Well Said set using Memento Black ink. Use Poppy Parade ink to stamp one of the solid flowers from Floral Essence in the lower right corner and finish with the flower centre using Memento Black ink.

Thanks for stopping by.
