This Abstract Impressions poppies card uses spots of colour to give the impression of poppies.
If you want something more realistic, we have some awesome poppies arriving on Friday in our Spring/Summer mini catalogue!
Colour Combo
This colour combo mixes Poppy Parade, Basic Black and Granny Apple Green.
Instructions
Start with an A4 landscape card of Poppy Parade. Using the Stitched Rectangles set, die cut rectangular frames from Whisper White and Basic Black card. On the Whisper White frame, stamp the fuller leaves from the Abstract Impressions set across the base, using Granny Apple Green ink. Stamp the thinner leaves over the top with Old Olive ink. Use Poppy Parade ink to add the flowers heads over the top of the leaves, stamping a second generation set (ie. stamp without reinking) above the first. Finish the poppies by colouring the centre of each with a Basic Black (first generation stamped) of Basic Gray (second generation stamped) marker. Adhere the stamped frame to the Basic Black one and then direct to the card front.
Use the Well Written dies to die cut the happy birthday sentiment from Basic Black card three times. Adhere the stacked words together and cover with the Fine-tip Glue Pen for a glossy sheen before adhering to the card front.
On the Whisper White insert, stamp a sentiment from the Varied Vases set using Memento Black ink. Use Granny Apple Green and Old Olive inks to stamp the leaves in the lower right corner. Add flower heads using Poppy Parade ink and fill the centres with a Basic Black marker.
Thanks for stopping by.
