One of our free Sale-a-bration sets this year is The Gang’s All Meer. Here I’ve used it to create a fun birthday card. Just how cute is this set!! I love it!

If you’re new to crafting you could make a simplified version of this card without the die cutting and embossing. You could even leave out the ribbon. The Memento Black ink pad, Stampin’ Blends used in the project and 2 packs of cardstock (one white, one coloured) would be enough (£52.50) to earn you The Gang’s All Meer stamp set for free.

This card has been stepped up with Stitched framelits to show off the stamped pieces. It also has the Stone embossing folder in the background. The folder is another Sale-a-bration freebie and I used it another card sample here.

Colour Combo

The colour combination mixes Crumb Cake, Granny Apple Green and Petal Pink.

Instructions

Start with an A6 portrait card base of Granny Apple Green. Cut a card front layer of Crumb Cake and run it through the Stone embossing folder. Wrap Petal Pink Metallic Edge Ribbon around the layer before adhering it direct to the card front. Using Memento Black ink, stamp the bunch of meerkats from The Gang’s All Here onto Whisper White card. Die cut this out with a Rectangle Stitched framelit. Stamp the solitary standing meerkat and the birthday sentiment onto scraps of Whisper White card and die cut out with the Square Stitched framelit. Colour the meerkats with the duo of Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends (avoiding the eyes and teeth) and add “sand” with the Ivory Blend. Pop the stamped pieces up on the card front with dimensionals. Add a bow of the Petal Pink ribbon to the centre with a mini glue dot to finish.

On the Whisper White insert, stamp the cactus on the lower right corner, the meerkat head next to it and the little gecko over on the lower left corner, all with Memento Black ink. Use Stampin’ Blends to colour the images. The duo of Granny Apple Green are used for the cactus and gecko and the duo of Flirty Flamingo for the cactus flowers.
